James Veitenheimer, PhD. is a Senior Partner and brings 37 years of educational experience to Dynamic Work Systems, LLC. James has a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Midwestern State University (TX) and has his Masters of Education and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (TX). James has worked in virtually every aspect of K-16 education from elementary teacher to college professor.
Leadership and Organizational Improvement have been the foundation of James’ career journey, developing programs and systems to become the principal of a USDE National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (1991), selection to the prestigious Cooperative Superintendency Fellows program and the publication of his doctoral dissertation on educator organizational commitment (1991). As a Senior Leader in a major urban school district, James’ focus was on professional learning and administrative leadership. As the Superintendent of three high-performing suburban districts (TX and AZ) for the subsequent 16 years, James has focused on strategic planning, leadership development and Baldrige Continuous Improvement. He has implemented Baldrige principles in two districts (TX and AZ) and he and his team have completed and submitted Commitment Level (TX) and Organizational Level (AZ) applications to Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE) and Southwest Alliance for Excellence (SWAE).
In 2010, James was recognized by the West College of Education (TX) as Alumnus of the Year and by the Texas Computer Educators Association (TCEA) as the State of Texas Technology Superintendent of the Year. In 2017, James was recognized by the Arizona Public Relations Association as Arizona Communications Superintendent of the Year. James is a certified TAPE examiner and has been recognized as Superintendent of a district in the Top 2% for efficiency and effectiveness by the State Comptroller (TX). He is active in Texas and Arizona educational initiatives and as well as with leaders across the country through the Mid-States Benchmarking Consortium.
